In yet another example of poor decision-making, on Oct-11-2015 Joshua James decided to visit a Wendy’s in Loxahatchee, Florida, USA. He proceeded to throw a live alligator through the drive-thru window. His reasoning? He wanted to play a prank on a friend.

Even though his friend wasn’t even working that day, he nonetheless decided to go ahead as planned. The alligator measured 3.5 feet long and was picked up on the side of the road.
Palm Beach County Judge Barry Cohen presided over the case and said it was the most unusual case he’s ever seen. He sentenced him to a year probation, though he was initially charged with several felonies and unlawful possession and transportation of an alligator. The airborne alligator was later released into a nearby canal.

Thankfully, nobody (and no reptile) was hurt as a result of prank and James ended up apologizing for his actions, He entered a plea for two misdemeanors. James was ultimately sentenced to a year of probation, time served (the two days in jail), and a $500 fine.
Reactions
This happened before COVID, so Joshua can’t even blame “pandemic-brain” for his actions.
Even the alligator knew this was a rideshare situation.
Five stars for commitment, zero stars for judgment.
