The Story
On Mar-23-2025, Antonio Taylor attempted to hold up a 7-11 gas station in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. He reportedly walked into a store off North Newport Road around midnight and pulled out his trusted sidearm… which was his index finger.
According to arrest documents, Taylor pointed that finger at the clerk and said, “This is a robbery.” No “hand-in-pocket” suspense, no chance for someone else to fill in the blanks. Just a finger. And words. That’s all he thought he needed.

Antonio Taylor in all his glory
After leaving the store, Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) spotted Taylor’s vehicle — a pink GMC Yukon — and attempted to pull him over. He didn’t stop at first, which somehow made things both less and more intimidating at the same time.

A map of where the incident occurred.
Police managed to box Taylor in at a Maverick gas station and that’s when reality caught up with him (hopefully). Police also discovered his teenage daughter in the passenger seat. She was removed for her own safety.
After all was said and done, the clerk could only confirm that Taylor got away with a Big Gulp, unlike our sour-faced friend from a few days ago. So, all that just for a soda and snacks, huh?
Reactions
As you can imagine, snark was in full form as a result of this and some media outlets piled on as well.
They charged him with multiple crimes, including robbery . . . but at least it wasn’t ARMED robbery.
— The Buzz

Coming from the first state to legalize weed, that’s saying something.

Well, my toddler’s imaginary weapons have a higher success rate. Although he did make a fire/ice gun, so those are actually pretty awesome.

I can see a lot of people being charged with this. How about first-degree make-believe?
