The Story
On July 23, 2025, police arrested Jermell Jarreau Jones in Tallahassee, Florida, USA for theft of a credit card, criminal use of personal identification information, and fraudulent use of a credit card totaling over $100, according to reports.

Jones, an employee at the Tallahassee Chuck E. Cheese, was arrested in full costume while he was in the process of taking a photo with a woman. Officers walked up to him and stated, “Chuck E’s a little bit busy, ma’am,”.
They then proceeded to say “Chuck E, come with me. Chuck E! Chuck E! Stop resisting! You’re being detained, stop resisting! Do not cause a scene here, sir.” Dismayed children could be heard yelling “Chuck E, no!”
A woman accused Jones of stealing her credit card and using it without her permission. After obtaining surveillance footage from a store where the card was used, she identified the suspect as the mouse mascot.
The police stated after searching Jones, they found evidence of recipts linked to fraudulent charges and “a small amount of m-rijuana”.
